About the PHP security flaw in the news
In October 2026, PHP, the programming language behind much of the web, had two serious flaws fixed. Website owners and hosting companies have to install the fix. If your site shows its PHP version, we tell you whether it includes the fix.
Many well-run hosts hide the version, so we cannot always tell from the outside. In that case we say so and give you one sentence to ask your host.
Safe by design
- We only look at what any visitor's browser can see: your home page, public files and public DNS records.
- We never log in, never try to break in and never test the flaw itself.
